On the “Burgen & Schlösser” quality hiking trail you can follow the historical traces on foot and go on a ghost hunt in the Deutsches Burgenwinkel with a free smartphone app. The adventure tours as well as the north or south route of the “Burgen & Schlösser” quality hiking trail lead through a huge open-air museum that is waiting to be discovered. Well signposted cycle routes and the running paradise along the Main floodplains, charming landscapes and dreamy half-timbered villages are available for this purpose. Whether cultural cycling from castle to castle or family cycling on the “Main Cycle Path” – sun-drenched vineyards invite you to a tasting along the way in a hedge farm at a winegrower. Land experiences and quaint beer gardens of the small and large breweries – also called “cellars” – whet the appetite for cultural and pleasurable discoveries.
